There are a couple new things happening in my blogging and writing life.  First you may have noticed that I have added a podcast to the blog.  I find this pretty exciting since I'm not the world's greatest computer talent.  When I was in college there weren't any personal computers and the Internet was not even thought of.  Now I'm able to put the spoken word on my site!  The marvels of technology never cease to amaze me.  I hope you take the time to listen to the podcasts as I produce them.  I promise they will only be a few minutes long, and hopefully will be worth your time.  Let me know what you think.

Also, An Eagle Unchained is getting closer to publication, or at least going to the printer.  I have the interior text designed, and am pleased with the work the designer accomplished.  The novel is somewhat longer than I thought it would be.  I had estimated about 288 pages, but it turns out that it'll be 336 pages.  When you have a chance to read the book, I'm sure you'll enjoy the extra length.  Also I have the cover files at the designer, who is hard at work developing the cover.  I'll be publishing the novel in both trade paperback and hardcover, so there was a fair amount of text on the back and the jacket flaps.  I'm eager to see what ideas the designer comes up with in regard to the cover.  They say the cover sells the book (as an author I'd like to believe it is the interior writing, but I'll agree that the cover is what attracts the initial attention).
